The Justin Veatch Fund Music Workshop Schedule

DAY ONE, Wednesday, August 18th, 10am-6pm

10am • Opening remarks by program director Jeffrey Veatch, introductions (auditorium stage)

10:15am to 1:15pm • Jon Gailmor’s song writing workshop (class room 3 hours)

1:15pm • Lunch Break & Networking (lobby/merchandise area)

2pm • Good Old War’s music set/workshop on harmonies and vocal technique (auditorium 2 hours)

4pm  • Breakout sessions:

1. Meditation to facilitate music creation by Jennifer Zulli (auditorium 1 hour)
2. Digital sound production and recording by Greg Dunn (classroom 1 hour)
3. The personal aspect of creative song writing by Brian Joyce (classroom 1 ½ hours)

5pm • Performances and evaluations with staff panel led by Anthony Mandel (auditorium stage)

6pm  • Day 1 ends
 

DAY TWO, Thursday, August 19th    10am-6:15pm

10am • opening remarks by program director Jeffrey Veatch

1015am • Sloan Wainwright’s presentation on voice and the creative process (auditorium stage 3 hours)

1:15pm  • Lunch Break & Networking (lobby/merchandise area)

2pm • Jon Gailmor performs/workshop on stage performance(auditorium stage 1 hour)

3pm • Music collaboration. Anthony Mandel facilitates the preparation of a music performance with assists by Jon Gailmor and Brian Joyce (auditorium stage 2 hours).

5pm • Stage Performance Open to the public (auditorium stage 1:15).

6:15pm • Workshop ends
